Ingredients
- 600 grams pork mince
- 1 red onion, peeled and finely chopped
- 2 tblsp chopped fresh basil
- ΒΌ cup Asian-style plum sauce
- 2 eating apples, cored and sliced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- toasted bagels or hamburger buns
Method
- Mix together the pork mince, onion, basil and plum sauce. Season with salt and pepper. With wet hands, shape into 4 to 5 patties.
- Cook over a moderate to low heat on a greased BBQ plate or in a frying pan for 5-7 minutes each side until the burgers are golden.
- Gently pan fry the sliced apples in butter until tender and golden, turning once. Serve the pork burgers on toasted bagels topped with red apple slices.
