This is a perfect accompaniment for a Corned Beef recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 50 grams butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
- 1-2 teaspoons brown sugar
Method
- Gently pan-fry the ginger in the butter in a heavy-based saucepan for 2-3 minutes. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes or until frothy.
- Gradually add the chicken stock, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens. Add the mustard and brown sugar and season with salt and pepper before serving.
