These simple tarts look and taste delicious.
Ingredients
- 6 slices white sandwich bread
- 2 tblsp butter, softened
- 100 grams goat or sheep cheese, sliced thinly into 24 pieces
- 2 eggs
- 3 tblsp cream fraiche
- salt and pepper to season
- 2 tblsp fresh thyme leaves
Method
- Cut 4 x 4cm rounds from each slice of bread. Use a Champagne flute as a cutter. Butter each round and press buttered side down into the base of a mini muffin tin.
- Top each bread round with a slice of goats cheese.
- In a small bowl mix the eggs, cream fraiche and salt and pepper together and pour over each tart base. Sprinkle with thyme leaves.
- Bake at 200°C for 10 minutes. Serve warm.
